2 Color LusterStone™
Step by Step
as seen on Style X
WWCI Channels 10 and 11 Vero Beach and Sebastian
Fl.
Preparation:
! Make sure to cover anything and everything that you do not want the products
to spatter on, with plastic or cloth tarps, and then Tape, Tape, Tape! Tape off
all crown and base moldings, chair rails, around doors and windows etc., then
burnish the tape by using either a spoon or a small, wooden stir stick. This
will prevent the paint from seeping under the tape while applying and leave your
finish with a very crisp edge.

Step 1.
Over a
clean, dry, good quality wall paint, (we recommend two coats of
AquaBond™ ), ROLL on a smooth coat of LusterStone™ Champagne Mist in
random directions. Normal applications will produce a somewhat mottled effect
with higher and lower areas of random coverage. For this application you may
dilute the LusterStone™ with up to 30% ordinary tap water. Allow the
LusterStone™ to dry for at least 2 hours.
Step.
2 Apply
the next layer of LusterStone™ Champagne Mist using a thin, flexible
plastic or metal application trowel. Place LusterStone™ onto the surface of the
trowel, then, using smooth, even, random motions, apply LusterStone™ to the
surface. Just like icing a cake! Application may be stopped and started at any
time with no need to keep a wet edge. LusterStone™ may be thinned with up to 10%
ordinary tap water for this application. Wait at least two hours before next
application.

STEP 3
The third and final layer of LusterStone™
will be a lighter, contrasting color,
Queen Anne’s Lace. This application will differ slightly from the previous
troweled on coat. The Queen Anne’s Lace will be applied in the same
manner as before, but while it’s still wet and with firm pressure on your
trowel, Scrape off the excess
LusterStone™.
By compressing the product in this way you
will bring out the natural Luster.
Voila! Your
job here is done! You’ve just accomplished a beautiful,
designer quality finish of your very own!
BONUS MILES For
Higher Shine LusterStone™ Applications:
In General, fine sanding
between coats and applying very thin wet coats of LusterStone™ will produce the
highest shine and reflect-ability of the material.
Sand between additional coats using 220 grit or finer sand paper.
LusterStone™ may be thinned up to 30% with ordinary tap water for this
procedure.
Apply with trowel, very fine, very thin wet additional coats for the
highest shine.
LusterStone™ when applied correctly, requires no secondary polishing.
TO REPAIR: Sand to smooth out damage and simply re-trowel more
LusterStone™
Recommendation for best
